We are San Marcos Modern Dentistry

My dentist recently retired, and as of January 2026 I learned that I have Delta Dental coverage. So I started from scratch and looked at every single one of the 178 dental practices near me covered by Delta Dental. Most of them were large practices and had Yelp reviews in the 2- and 3-star range. San Marcos Modern Dentistry was one of about two or three that had 4-star reviews. When I called to make an appointment, the receptionist explained the insurance procedure very clearly, letting me know what I needed to do next. She answered all my questions with patience and friendliness. My first appointment was really positive. Everyone on the staff from the ladies at the front counter to the hygienists to Dr. Aldaz were very caring, friendly, and professional. Everything was completely explained to me - what my X-rays and scan revealed, the treatment proposed, the cost, etc. I ended up having three temporary crowns placed at that appointment which was late on a Monday afternoon. The permanent crowns were placed at an early morning appointment on Wednesday less than 48 hours later. I have never had such quick turnarounds on crowns. These are fabricated in house, so they are much quicker than being sent to a lab. In addition to all the positive features of this practice, what impressed me greatly was the CBTC scanner. It revealed a deep cavity almost reaching to the bone that I had no idea that I had. If I had not had it taken care of at this visit, I probably would have had to have had a root canal which I certainly do not ever want. This cavity was a shock because I had just had bite wing X-rays taken and an exam by the new dentist who had taken over the practice of my retired dentist. She told me that everything was fine at that time. In my opinion, it is important to choose a dentist that performs the CBTC scans as they apparently reveal much more than the customary digital X-rays. My former dentist did not have such a scanner. At this point, I feel that this is the best dentist for me that I could ever find. My feeling was that every person on the staff was truly committed to giving each patient the very best care possible. They also have a periodontist on staff so if further procedures are necessary, they can be done in house. If you are looking for an excellent dental practice that truly wants the best for you, give them a call. I believe you will be highly satisfied.

Great office. I really Dr Yaseri. She explains every procedure that you can understand. Very kind and personable Seams to really care about me and my schedule. Gabby was great also. When you first walk in you are welcomed and made you feel like a friend nit just a patient.

Dr Yaseri and Elisa gave me great care and made sure that I was comfortable. Dr Yaseri made sure that the crown fit well. They are a good team.
